Clarence has been described as "the future of the blues" (Bill Dahl, Chicago Tribune). He plays with depth and sensitivity, effortlessly combining blues, jazz, funk, latin and rock into his own unique style.  His moving guitar play, rough street-edged vocals, songwriting, and live improvisations are highlighted with every performance.

SURRENDER

Clarence's long-awaited new release is now available.

“Taken as a whole, Surrender could be construed as a summarization
of Spady’s life ... the riveting contemporary blues guitarist never fails
to satisfy when he gets inside a studio,” notes music historian Bill Dahl. The title track, “Surrender,” has received a silver medal in the Global Music Awards and placed third in the Blues category in the International Songwriting Competition.

CHRISTMAS

Clarence Spady adds a funky flair to Chuck Berry's "Christmas", a track from his Back Home album (Chess Records, 1970). The driving rhythm section of Andy Galore (bass) and "The Baron of the Blues," Barry Harrison (drums), propels Spady's striking, soulful vocals in a fresh take on this Christmas tune from the King of Rock and Roll.
